Giga Poster 2 (Rough)
'Hand-drawn letters'
Critique:: The straight line doesn't fit well. Maybe extend one of the gold shapes or bring one of "The Mics" down for balance. Keep it simple; "The Mics" going off of the page probably doesn't work. And the angles need adjusting.
Nice movement, maybe change font, fill in top & bottom space a little more, and info.

Giga Poster
Critique:: It looks like two separate posters. Could bring it together by making "The Mics" bigger and overlap the background image.
Also added a drop shadow.
On the border line of too many fonts or variations.

Final WPA
It was suggested before to go for other objects like the spray can instead of bombs. It was tried and came off as confusing; Were they gonna get supplies if they showed up for exams? So I went back to the paper bombs. The colors were liked and the text was made more visible thru size and contrast.
Some say that they like it... just needs some fine tuning. One says it doesn't quick look like the people are in a tunnel. Likes the roocks, concept, and contrast. I took away the walking cane and hat and put on a cap and bookbag. The camera crew was change to a group of college graduates. Some was not sure about the flag, so university was added to make it look more campus-like.

figure/figure relationships?
What is the artists saying with the composition?
What is the artists saying with light?
How might you evoke similarly without any text?
How might you change the mood without any text in a manner that stays true to the original artwork?

WPA
"Exhibition of Ceramics & Prints" Stanley Thomas Clough. 1938.
This color palette is pretty much complimentary with shades of white and/or black. There is no gradual blending with the shades of black, and this piece has very good constrast. With the different ways of combining objects, the artist draws one in to take a closer look at this piece and to see others.
"Discover Puerto Rico U.S.A. : Where the Americas Meet" Frank S. Nicholson. 1936 - 1940.
This poster has plenty of colors in its palette. Although the colors are washed, it still gives the 3D effect with the almost gradual change from light to dark. It definitely entices one to visit and check their great food and/or wine.
"See America" Alexander Dux. 1936 - 1939.
This piece is blue monocromatic. Even though the shading seems a little more gradual, it also seems like a silhouette. Also at certain glances the foreground becomes the background. So, Go Travel!
